Our American democratic system is a 250-year-old infant experiment in empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own governance. We are actively outgrowing the old paradigms of the Alpha-pack hierarchy and the parent-child mindset, where we look to an external ruler or system to save or care for us. We are learning how to be self-led and self-responsible while honoring the sovereignty of others.

Tactile Brain Comfort: Screens increase agitation, but physical, tactile tasks soothe the survival brain. Clean out a junk drawer, do a physical puzzle, work on an easy craft kit, or play a paper word search. Creating physical order signals safety to your nervous system.
